1.3.8August 2026Latest
The public release carrying the new ST 1 reverb and the MIDI fixes from the internal builds below.
- THROW fixed for the ST 1 spring: the throw's send slam was tuned for the old reverb and pinned the new tank at full scale, so the wash came back clipped. The slam is now calibrated for ST 1's input stage: still a proper slam, but it lands at the warm knee of the drive instead of hard clipping.
- The limiter lamp is honest now: it stays dark below roughly 0.3 dB of gain reduction, shows AMBER while the limiter is catching peaks (normal work) and goes RED only past roughly 1 dB, when you should actually back off. Its brightness and glow follow how hard the limiter is working, so it breathes with the music.

- The Dub Control logo in the top left now links to dubcontrol.com, and hovering it shows the running version, so you can tell which build you are on without opening the welcome screen.

New reverb: ST 1 spring tank
The reverb has been replaced with ST 1, a new spring tank modelled on the behaviour of the valve spring units of the King Tubby lineage: dark, loose and driven. The spring's dispersion now sits inside the feedback loop, so every repeat is chirped again and the tail blurs the way a real tank does. The old algorithm ran its dispersion once into parallel combs, which is why it lacked character.
- New controls: DWELL (drive into the tank, clean through to filthy), BOING (dispersion, tight studio spring through to a loose single spring), DECAY, TONE, MIX and WIDTH.
- CRASH strikes the tank, the way dub engineers hit the real thing. Momentary, mappable to MIDI and to a computer key, and velocity sensitive from a pad.
- Five new spring voicings: WATERHOUSE, ONE SPRING, BLACK ARK SPLASH, TIGHT TANK, CRASH READY. The 14 old presets were not spring voicings and have been retired.
- THROW was reviewed against the original technique and now performs the real gesture: slam the send, lift the wash, keep the bass out of the tank, push the mids on the return, and let it ring out.
- FREEZE is gone: a spring tank has no freeze. Existing mappings to it become inert rows in the mapping editor and do not affect the rest of your mappings.
- All the reverb knobs and CRASH are enrolled for MIDI Learn and Key Assign.
Sessions and .dcverb presets saved with the old reverb load
without error and map across automatically (wet → MIX, room → DECAY, damping → TONE,
dispersion → BOING), but the reverb will not sound the same. There is no way to get the old
algorithm back.

MIDI fixes
- Fixed the DUB SIREN DC 1 parameter knobs not being MIDI-learnable: they flashed blue in learn mode but could never be assigned. CHARGE, FALL and SHAPE had no mappable parameter at all and now do.
- Fixed DC 2 PITCH, MOD RATE and MOD DEPTH not responding correctly to MIDI: they are stepped selectors and were being sent raw Hz and semitones, so PITCH sat locked near the top of its range.
- Deck controls that were never mappable now are: KILL, filter LP/HP locks, CUE, RESTART, NEXT and the L/M/H band mirrors.
1.3.4August 2026
- Marketing signup simplified: the trial screen's checkbox was replaced with an optional subscribe link to the website newsletter, so the app no longer collects or transmits a marketing preference.
- Terms and Privacy consent made explicit and required before a trial starts, with the Privacy Policy as a clickable link.
1.3.3August 2026Never shipped
- Added an optional marketing opt-in checkbox to the trial screen. This build was abandoned before release: the checkbox approach was dropped in favour of the website subscribe link that shipped in 1.3.4.
- Made the Terms and Privacy consent explicit and required before a trial starts. This part survived into 1.3.4.
1.3.2August 2026
- Welcome screen redesign.
- Dub Siren PERFORM box, TRIGGER/HOLD fill, shorter FAST/SLOW labels.
- Preset LCD and lamp fixes.
